Populating mass data in custom fields
« on: August 18, 2008, 05:22:56 am »
 :-\

Hi,
I need to import 1000 line items into the database to populate custom fields I created in the Asset type table. However, logging on to the database with navicat doesn't show these fields....

Where can I look to find the custom tables in the database.

The table with custom fields is z_tableName where tableName is the table you customized.

Many thanks calemadmin
I have now populated the table.

What I'm experiencing now is that the asset type table in calemeam does not show these additions. When I try to allocate a device type to an already created asset, there's nothing in the table.....

Is this perhaps a permissions issue because I cannot edit the lay-out of the asset interface either by dragging custom fields onto the edit layout
