Need Some Guidance
« on: October 19, 2007, 11:40:43 am »
Hi,

Very interesting offering. I hope that it grows as you expect..

I Have a couple of general questions:
1.  Is it possible to install this product under Windows server 2003 and IIS only without Apache?
2.  I intend to use this for calibration or equipment (it seems well suited).  However, as I play with the demo, I don't seem able to (understand how to) set up automatic alerts/work orders based on intervals attached to the asset.  A road map or simple functionality demostration / guide  would be very useful.

Thanks,
Gus

It's really an interesting question about IIS and CalemEAM. We have not tested this configuration. This article has instructions to configure PHP with IIS: http://www.visualwin.com/PHP-ISAPI/ (you might use the PHP from wamp to configure with IIS to save another download of PHP). So if you're interested in exploring IIS and CalemEAM do let us know how it goes.

To get work order generated automatically do the following:
1. We have just updated the following page in wiki for setting up automatic work order generation. So follow the page first.

2. Create a PM to be released with date or meter intervals based on your calibration needs. Add the asset you like to calibrate to this PM. You may read about PM at wiki: http://www.calemeam.com/apps/wiki/index.php?title=PM_Module

IIS and PHP setup is moved to a separate topic.
