Title: Database Schema
Post by: hu97224 on September 18, 2007, 01:23:54 pm
Here is what I did to reverse engineer the data model.

I downloaded an evaluation copy of the ModelRight2 program, and connected it to the MySQL database from CalemEAM.

The ModelRight program was very easy to use to auto layout the tables, I only need to re-arrange about 5 tables to avoid overlaps.

After I got all the tables showing up correctly, I exported the ER diagram into a JPEG file for later printing.

I configured my plotter with landscape mode, and set to a 24x34 page size, printed the JPEG with fit to page size option.  The final print out was very readable.

I wish I could post the JPEG file here.

Installed file attachment mod for phpBB but it didn't work out. The mod was tested with phpBB v2.22, this forum is v2.18.

So I have it uploaded to CalemWiki:

Thanks William.

Note: the schema is for Calem Open Source r1.0.2.
