PM (ASSET) Sort Order???

HELP... The PM Asset's Have a Mind of There Own... 
I was curious on the default settings for the sort order of Asset ID's...  My assets all have standard names for the ID's..   Example (ADHESIVE-MELTER-VB-WEST)

The problem I'm running into is the way Calem sorts these when you click the ID header.  There doesn't appear to be a set order.  However on Assets where they are all close to the same name such as (OSSID #1) (OSSID #2) (OSSID #3)  these all get sorted in perfect order, so I know it really can't be the SQL query as it's working fine on others, but yet it must be with the way the query is sorting the VARCHAR data.

Does anyone know if I can change the SQL query for the Asset's listed in the PM to sort left or anything that will make the VARCHAR's behave properly?

HELP HELP HELPwanted to update that the Asset # sort order works fine when in the Asset Module.

It does not work right when in the PM - Assets Tab

When you are in Workorders and sort by Asset #

Any idea's?

The sort issue is caused by sort on the asset ID not asset no. in PM and WO modules. A mantis issue is added:
