Alternative parts are parts that can be used in place of other parts. Calem provides the following functions in handling the alternative parts:
- Define alternative parts at inventory items
- Menu path: Inventory Module | Open | Inventory Items | "Equivalent" tab
- Use alternative parts in stock
- In checkout transaction, one can choose to view stock items for equivalent parts
Here's the screenshot to manage alternative parts:
- Use "Equivalent Item" list to add alternative items for an item.
Alternative parts can be selected at inventory checkout:
- Use "Equiv. Items" to view and check out alternative parts in stock
