Work orders are generated from PMs (preventive maintenance jobs) in Calem based on time schedules or meter readings. If a PM work order is no longer needed, there are steps to skip it.
1. Floating PM
- A PM work order is by a floating schedule, i.e., a PM work order is generated and Calem will not generate the same PM work order until the PM work order is completed.
- Set the "Need by" of the work order to a new future date. This will remove the PM work order from "Past Due" list of work orders.
2. Fixed PM
- A PM work order is by a fixed schedule, i.e., a PM work order is generated and Calem will generate next PM work orders by that fixed schedule.
- Go to the PM (from the PM link in the work order) and set the PM's "Next due" to a new future date so that PM work orders will not be generated for backlog dates.
- Next, cancel the PM work order, or delete it (screenshot below).
- Set the PM work order to "Canceled" to cancel it.
- Alternatively, delete the PM work order to skip.
- Go to "Open WO" list, find the work order, check the checkbox (in the left of the work order row) and delete it.
- Calem will prompt you to confirm, click "OK" to have the work order deleted from Calem.
