Priority and Category in Service Request Entry

This support case addresses the following use case:

Dropdown fields are prefilled with the first value in the dropdown list or a pre-configured value by administrators. Calem is modified to require a user to select a dropdown value when the following conditions are met:
  1. The dropdown field is a required field.
  2. The ​dropdown field should not be prefilled with the first value in its dropdown list.
  3. The dropdown field does not have a pre-configured value.
Steps 1 and 2 has been done for "Priority" and "Category" in service request. Administrators can add the following to your Calem_Home/client/conf/CmConf.custom.js to turn off default values for these two fields:
